I noticed this spiral on the bark of a tree. It was tiny. The light caught it, illuminating the spiral and the cracks surrounding it.
There was something ancient in its form that immediately connected me to my Celtic lineage — to the spiral as a symbol of movement, life, nature and the continual unfolding of experience.
Since finding it, this image has brought me much wisdom. The cracks speak to me of what we endure, what breaks open and what remains. And there, in the centre, the spiral continues.
It reminds me that life does not always move in a straight line. We circle, return, deepen and meet ourselves again, perhaps seeing differently each time.
What moved me most was that I did not make this mark. I found it already there — and for a moment, the light revealed it.
Spiral of Wisdom is an invitation to notice what nature places before us, and to remain open to the meaning that may emerge when we pay attention.
