Fine Art Photograph
At first I saw the tree. Then I saw them. The Witnesses
In the markings, folds and shedding bark of the eucalyptus, I began to see two figures standing beside one another. They seemed quietly present, as though they had always been there — watching, witnessing, waiting to be noticed.
The photograph invites us to soften the certainty of what we think we see. Nature holds forms, faces and stories that can appear when we give ourselves time to notice.
Perhaps these figures exist only through imagination. Perhaps imagination is itself another way of seeing.
My wish is that The Witnesses invites you to open to wonder
with care
